If you are a bystander witnessing a harmful situation, you have a choice to make. Do you do something? What do you do? The Reading Public Library and Reading Embraces Diversity are pleased to present Active Bystander Training to help community members understand what to do in these difficult and harmful situations.
The Training Active Bystanders (TAB) program helps participants recognize and analyze when they are bystanders in a situation, and develop skills to be able to evaluate the consequences for everyone involved. The TAB curriculum heightens bystanders’ power. It teaches how bystanders can interrupt harm doing and generate positive actions by others.
Registration required. Registration opens March 10th. Preference given to Reading residents. This is primarily for adults, however those ages 12 and up are welcome to attend.
This program is co-sponsored by Reading Public Library and Reading Embraces Diversity (R.E.D.)
