MISSION
The Reading Public Library Foundation was incorporated in 1997 as a tax-exempt charitable non-profit organization under IRC Sec 501(c)(3) to seek private sector support for the Reading Public Library. The Foundation provides funding for projects and initiatives that complement, but do not supplant, the Town's responsibility for continued operation of the RPL. The Foundation is more than half-way towards its goal of creating a million-dollar endowment.
GIVING
By raising funds for this important community resource, the Foundation enables the Library to offer programs, services, events and projects that could otherwise not be offered. For example, Foundation funds were used to expand the scope of the Library's music CDs and establish a classic movie collection on DVD. Your gift will help the Library continue to move forward in areas such as these.
