LiveWires Presents: More on Pleasure Island

Bob McLaughlin, co-founder of the Friends of Pleasure Island, is returning to the Library, by popular demand, to present more of the history of Pleasure Island, once billed as “the Disneyland of the East.” Using  images, film, oral history and artifacts to tell the story of the Wakefield amusement park, McLaughlin will offer behind-the-scenes stories of the park and discuss his  book, Pleasure Island, part of the Images of America series.  The book will be available for purchase and signing.
