Getting a Library Card
Stop by the Circulation Desk and present some identification that includes
your current address. We'll give you a library card right away! Children
through sixth grade may apply for cards in the Children's Room. If you
aren't a resident of Reading, we can probably put your hometown library
card into our database.
Can I use my Reading card at another library?
Thanks to state standards for libraries you can use just about
any public library in Massachusetts. Most libraries can
input your Reading card into their computer system. If not,
they can give you a card for their library if you present
proper identification.
