  • Volunteering and Jobs

Please consider these opportunities to volunteer for the library.

  • Friends of the Reading Public Library: The Friends welcome volunteers to help run fundraisers and support the library.
  • Library Volunteers: Occasionally the library needs volunteers for specific tasks and activities. Volunteer applications are available at the Research & Reader Services Desk.
  • Teens: Teens can volunteer in one of two ways during the school year. Teen Advisors (gr. 6-12) work directly with librarians individually or in small groups working on teen-related programs and projects, and Netguides (gr. 9-12) work with adults of all ages, teaching a variety of computer and technology related topics. Students interested in either program may contact the Teen Librarians for more details.
