CURL UP with our self-service Adult winter Reading Club
Every time you complete a book or unabridged audiobook, fill out an author and title slip and deposit it at the teapot located next to the Information Desk. OR, click here to submit it online. Every toss in the teapot is another chance to win a fabulous prize. CURL UP summer runs from January 8 to February 29.

Library Book Groups
Bibliobabblers
Adult book discussion group on a broad range of selections, both fiction and nonfiction. See the event listing in the library calendar for each group's book selection of the month. Copies of each month's title can be picked up and checked out at the circulation desk.
When: Second Tuesday of each month, September through June, at 7:00 p.m.
Where: Library Conference Room, 2nd floor

Not-Too-Stuffy Book Group
A fun adult discussion group for everyone. Copies of each month's title can be picked up in the Book Nook at the Senior Center and at the library.
Where: Lounge, Reading Senior Center, 49 Pleasant St ( Google map)

Word of Mouth
Read any good books lately? Stop by and share with this informal gathering. Listen to the picks and pans of this avid group of readers.
When: Last Tuesday of each month at 10:30 a.m.

Slackers
For people who don't want to be committed! Each month a new book is selected for the Slackers' display.
When: Whenever. Just help yourself to some good reading...no meetings to attend.
Where: Display near the Bestsellers
Discussion led by: Um, no one. Kathy Miksis picks the books, though. If you are interested in sharing your opinions of the book, just fill out a Slackers' bookmark comment form, and leave it in the book when you return it.

- Book Page typically reviews up to 100 of each month's new fiction, nonfiction, business, children's, spoken word audio, and how-to books, with a focus on bestsellers and new discoveries.
- Books & Bytes provides information on mystery, science fiction, fantasy, and romance authors.
- BookSpot is a free resource center that simplifies the search for the best book-related content on the Web by serving as a portal for readers of all genres, age groups, and subject areas. You can even talk up your recent read in the discussion groups.
- Genrefluent is the official web site of author, editor, reviewer, reader, and librarian Diana Tixier Herald, and a great place to find out about new books for adults and teens who read for the fun of it.
- Overbooked specializes in providing timely information about literary and genre fiction as well as readable nonfiction. Overbooked originals include annotated lists of nonfiction, fiction and mystery books which received starred reviews, themed booklists, featured titles lists and hot lists of hardcover US fiction releases.
- What's Next? is a service offered by Kent District Library to help you search adult fiction in series by title, author, or series title. If you ever picked up a book in the middle of a series and aren't sure where you are, if you want to know if your current selection is part of a series, this is the search for you.
