WHAT IS A TEEN ADVISOR

Teen Advisors are students in grades 6-12 who are looking to make difference.   This is a very flexible volunteer program that is designed to accommodate a busy teen schedule.  Each Teen Advisor is can set a goal for hours to be completed by June of 2012.

Volunteering includes:

  • Attending meetings;
  • Suggesting books, movies, and music to purchase
  • Decorating the Teen Spot
  • Planning and running programs for other teens
  • Planning and running programs for children
  • Various library tasks

Each Teen Advisor is responsible for logging the number of hours volunteered, setting a personal goal of 1-20 hours to be completed during the school year. If you are looking for volunteer, community or even leadership hours – think about becoming a Teen Advisor @ The Reading Public Library.
