Maya is a girl who lives with her grandmother. Here grandmother expects her to be perfect in every single way. One day Maya was playing with some horses that she wasn’t suppose to have. Then the house-keeper Morgana came in and told Maya that she should be doing here homework. Maya told Magana that as long as her grades are perfect grandmother wouldn’t mind. Then after Maya told Morgana how her parents died. During dinner Morgana shows grandmother the horses and Maya gets mad. Then Grandmother tells Morgana a different reason why Maya’s parents died. That is when Maya decided to get her horses back and to get rid of Morgana. Later Grandmother dies and so now Maya has to live with her mother’s side of the family.
At the airport Maya meets Moose who have come to pick her up. They take her to her Aunt Vi. There she meets a boy named Payton where she figures out likes playing pranks. The next day Maya learns the basics to riding a horse. Her horses name is Seltzer. Then when Maya goes back to her tent she noticed Payton throwing her toy horses into the woods. Later Payton’s horse goes missing but then comes back. Aunt Vi punishes both of them by telling them to work together.
Then there is an earthquake and Maya and Seltzer are caught in the middle of it. Maya hurts her ankle and still has to go back to camp. She find her way and lives with Moose and her Aunt Vi.
