Celebrate Teen Read Week at Reading Public Library! This week is all about teens celebrating reading for the fun of it and we’ve got some activities to get you started.
Book in a Bottle Contest: Visit our Teen Area and submit your guess for the book in a bottle. This book was so popular that it was worn and damaged beyond repair from lots of use. Rather than discard it, we re-used it by shredding what was left and stuffing it into a bottle! Submit your guess for a chance to win a Barnes & Noble gift card.
Vote for Teens’ Top Ten: This is a teens’ choice award for books. This year 26 titles were nominated by teens across the country and now YOU get the chance to pick the top ones. Submit your vote online here or visit our Teen Area where we are taking a poll.
Teen Read Week is a time to not only celebrate reading for the fun of it–in all formats including books, eBooks, audiobooks, magazines and more–but is also an opportunity for teens and their families to learn about all the free services and resources that the library offers. For more information on teen programs & resources, visit the library’s Teens Page.
