Thank you Peter Lourie!

Wow! We've just finished a two-day visit by author, photographer and all-around cool guy Peter Lourie. Author of over 20 books, Mr. Lourie visited both the Parker MS and Coolidge MS, speaking to over 1,000 students. In addition, he also stopped by the library on Monday night to give a fabulous presentation for the public.
Mr. Lourie's adventures have included trips to the Amazon, the Arctic, the Rio Grande River, and the Hudson River. He's been able to explore and write about the fascinating civilizations such as the Aztecs, the Incas, and the Inupiac Eskimos, also known as the People of the Whale.
Using stories, photographs and some of his own canoeing equipment , Mr. Lourie managed to bring the people, places and history of his travels into the Reading schools and library, encouraging us all to explore, experience and appreciate the world around us.
Thank you Mr. Lourie,
Sincerely,
