Children start to develop early literacy skills beginning at birth, and reading together with children continues to be one of the most powerful ways to develop early literacy skills. Join us at the library for energetic, engaging, and fun storytimes that will facilitate early literacy experiences and give you ideas for new ways to engage your child in early literacy practices.
Babies & Toddlers
Join us Wednesdays at 10-10:30 am for stories, songs, rhymes and fingerplays. Please bring a yoga mat to this storytime for babies and toddlers up to 15 months and their caregivers.
Lapsits are a wonderful way to share time with your baby while introducing a love of books and the library. We provide a fun environment where babies and toddlers can work on their important early literacy skills.

More Early Learning Fun!
Baby Playtime Group
Play is the “work” of children – the way they learn about the world. Drop by most Fridays (or check our calendar) for your baby to explore and play with the developmental toys available as well as other children. Caregivers, here’s a great opportunity to connect with neighbors!
Infant & Toddler Sing-a-long
Each month babies, toddlers and caregivers are invited to sing and dance along with our favorite musician, Peter Sheridan! Check our calendar for dates.
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
Can YOU read 1,000 books before Kindergarten? We know you can! 1000 Books Before Kindergarten is our new early literary initiative designed to jump start skills and begin a lifetime of learning and fun!
