Summer Reading is Coming!

Libraries Rock with music, stories, and community fun!

Readers of all ages are invited to participate in the Reading Public Library’s annual summer reading programs.

KIDS (Birth to Grade 6) – Monday, June 18 to Saturday, August 18

Children ages birth through grade 6 are invited to participate.  Reading alone, being read to, or listening to audiobooks all count. Earn great prizes while you spend time with books, and join us for fun participatory events including drama and singing workshops, family concerts, and a pooch parade!

TEENS (Grades 6 to 12) – Monday, June 25 to Saturday, August 11

We’ve lined up some awesome prizes and special events just for teens entering grades 6 to 12. We’ve made it super easy to participate. Just check out items at the library or complete a review to earn a scratch ticket. Plus drop in for teen movies, carpool karaoke, a murder mystery party, and more.

… AND ADULTS – Monday, June 25 to Saturday, August 11

Grown-ups, if you will be reading this summer anyway, why not join our adult self-service reading club? Starting June 25, you can participate online or in person at the library and keep an eye out for some fun, free adult programs that will help you rock out this summer.

Libraries Rock! is sponsored by the Friends of the Reading Public Library, the Massachusetts Library System, the Boston Bruins, and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
