Library Closing: Juneteenth

The Library and the book drop will be closed Saturday, June 19, in observance of the new state holiday, Juneteenth.  The book drop will reopen on Monday, June 21.

Juneteenth is a holiday celebrating the emancipation of those who had been enslaved in the United States. It is commemorated on the anniversary date of the June 19, 1865 announcement by Union Army general Gordon Granger, proclaiming freedom from slavery in Texas. 

Our normal hours will resume on Monday, June 21.
