Mars Madness!

Do you have Mars madness in anticipation of NASA’s Perseverence rover touching down on February 22? We do! Did you know it’s on it’s way to Mars at a rate of 49,000 miles per hour? Or that a 7th grader from Virginia chose the name “Perseverance?” You can learn much more about the mission at NASA’s Mars2020 site.

If you want to keep up with the latest Perseverence news and analysis, you can browse newspapers including the New York Times, Washington Post, and Boston Globe from home with your library card and PIN. Or check out the OverDrive/Libby app for science magazines including Discover and Astronomy. Want to dig even deeper? Explore the Science in Context database from Gale.
