Reading resident Sherri L. VandenAkker conceived of and received a Cultural Council Grant for this 74-page self-published book of photos from over 30 residents that record how, as a community, Reading “improvised and adapted in the face of adversity.” Dr. VandenAkker worked with librarians Eileen Barrett and Kathryn Geoffrion Scannell.
