Wow, there are some amazing readers and listeners out there! Participants in our Reading Together summer reading program have blown past our first two goals of 1,000 hours and 5,000 hours of reading, listening and challenge time. That means $1,000 was donated to both the Reading Food Pantry and the Mission of Deeds. Our next, and final, goal is 20,000 hours! When we reach it, $1,000 will be donated to the North Suburban Child & Family Resource Network.
As you can see from our “Summer Reading So Far” infographic, hundreds of people are signed up and helping to reach these goals. It’s not too late to join! Reading Together runs through August 22. Sign up now and start logging your hours.
The Friends of the Reading Public Library generously support the library’s programs including Summer Reading – we’re grateful to have friends like these!
