Whether you are a kid, a teen, or an adult, we’ve got a summer reading program for you!
Tails and Tales begins on Monday, June 21 at 9 am. You can register and start participating at any point during the summer. Just be sure to log your final time by 5 pm on Saturday, August 14.
“Tails and Tales” summer reading program is sponsored by the Friends of the Reading Public Library, the Massachusetts Library System, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and the Boston Bruins.
Our Adult Summer Reading Program is easy and fun! Starting on June 21st, readers can submit book reviews in the form of our awesome Rad Libs. Submit as many as you want. Fill out the online form or at the Borrower Services desk. There will be weekly drawings for $25 Whitelam Books gift cards. Get your reading on!
Children birth through Grade 6 can participate in the Children’s Summer Reading Program. Stop by the Children’s Room to sign up on or after Monday, June 21. We’ll give you a Bingo board full of ideas and activities.
Stop in for cool prizes when you complete a row, column, diagonal, OR do a “blackout” – fill out the whole board! We hope these Bingo boards will encourage you to stay active and curious, and visit the library this summer.
New this summer: get started at home! Register online and print your own Bingo sheet.
Teen Summer Reading BINGO starts on June 21 and all cards must be received by August 14. Teens entering grades 6-12 are eligible to participate.
Visit the library to register and pick up a BINGO card, or get started online.
Fill out any three squares in a row (down, across, or diagonal), with the title of the book you read and/or the activity you completed during the summer, for a raffle entry (a chance to win) toward grand prizes. Complete a “blackout” (fill in the whole card) to earn a $25 gift card!
